A3 completes the R15.08 safety standard for industrial mobile robots

Robotics and Automation News reported on 2 October 2026 that the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) has released ANSI/A3 R15.08-3-2026, Part 3 of the American National Standard for industrial mobile robot safety. Part 3 focuses on the responsibilities of companies operating these robots, and its release completes the three-part series.

What it means Operators of AMR and mobile-manipulator fleets now have a complete US standard to audit their deployments against.
