An independent field review puts a $2,199 tennis-partner robot through real rallies
New Atlas published a hands-on review on August 1, 2026 of the Acemate, an autonomous tennis-partner robot that tracks balls with binocular 4K vision, moves on omnidirectional wheels, catches returns in a net and fires balls back with chosen spin. The reviewer found it catches more balls than any machine coach previously tested but still misses tight-angle and low shots; it sells for $2,199.
