Safe Superintelligence leaves stealth into an Nvidia compute deal — Bloomberg reports $5B
After two years in stealth, Ilya Sutskever's Safe Superintelligence announced a long-term partnership giving it access to Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform, which is expected to raise its compute 'by an order of magnitude.' Nvidia's investment runs into multiple billions, a source told TechCrunch; Bloomberg reported the deal at $5 billion. Nvidia said it signed after gaining rare access to SSI's closely guarded research.
What it means Compute is the entry ticket, and the chipmaker is now buying its way into the research it powers — integration running in both directions at once.
