LM Studio launches Bionic — an AI agent built for open models, with fully local voice input

LM Studio, the desktop app for running models locally, released Bionic: an agent for coding, research, and document work that runs on your local models or larger open-source models in LM Studio's cloud, with a zero-data-retention commitment. It ships an offline voice keyboard powered by Mistral's Voxtral transcription model that dictates into any app, entirely on-device.

What it means Agentic workflows just reached the local-first crowd — you can point an agent at real coding and document work without sending your data to a frontier lab.
