Maxon added an MCP server to Cinema 4D so Claude or ChatGPT can drive it

On 30 September 2026 Maxon added Model Context Protocol support to Cinema 4D, letting artists hand repetitive, procedural work, such as organising imported objects, creating object and material variations and preparing multipass renders, to assistants like Claude or ChatGPT through natural-language instructions. Everything runs through Cinema 4D's own API on the artist's machine, so results stay native scene data that can be inspected or undone.

What it means MCP is reaching professional creative tools, which keeps the scene local and the artist in control of each change.
