Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, ChatGPT desktop, OpenAI Agents SDK, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway all speak MCP; 500+ public servers. MCP was donated to the Linux Foundation in Dec 2025.
