Buildcheck raises $12M for vision AI that reviews construction drawings from plain PDFs

AEC Magazine reported on 7 October 2026 that Buildcheck has raised a $12 million Series A for its 'drawing intelligence' platform. The platform uses computer vision to review construction drawings from 2D PDFs, with no BIM model or special export needed. It turns a contractor's QA/QC playbooks into custom AI review agents, isolates changes between drawing revisions, flags code issues, and catches 2D clashes such as a pipe running through a column.
