YouTube Music starts labelling AI-generated songs, and Deezer will let listeners filter them out

TechCrunch reported on 14 October 2026 that YouTube Music is launching labels as AI-generated music floods streaming platforms. The label appears on the player page and covers songs made entirely or partly by AI, including where AI was involved in composition or vocals. The same day, TechCrunch reported that Deezer will soon let users filter out AI-generated music with a toggle to be rolled out by the end of the year.

What it means Creators using AI in composition or vocals will now be labelled, and on Deezer may be filtered out, so disclosure affects reach.
