Teachers Pay Teachers plans to ban AI-generated classroom resources

Chalkbeat reported on 15 October 2026 that Teachers Pay Teachers, a popular online marketplace for classroom resources, plans to ban AI-generated resources from its site, as other changes to the platform spark backlash. The platform announced the ban at a town hall the previous week, after Chalkbeat's reporting found what appeared to be AI slop listed for sale, including an alphabet colouring worksheet missing the letter F.

What it means Sellers who use AI to produce materials will be shut out of the main marketplace, and teachers get a clearer signal about what they are buying.
