NVIDIA sets up compute-financing platforms with six capital managers to mobilise over $500B

NVIDIA announced on 10 August 2026 that it has signed memorandums of understanding with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to establish independent compute-financing platforms, aiming to mobilise more than $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure over time. The stated purpose is dedicated pools of capital at scale and attractive rates for NVIDIA customers — frontier labs, enterprises and AI clouds — with Jensen Huang framing GPU compute as "a new class of productive, investable infrastructure".

What it means Capacity you rent is about to be underwritten like real estate — which changes who can get compute, on what terms, and how durable today's per-token prices are.
