AGIBOT rolls out four new robots at WAIC, betting the industry's next test is deployment, not demos
At the World AI Conference in Shanghai, AGIBOT (Zhiyuan) unveiled four products spanning a full-size humanoid platform, a heavy-payload industrial task robot, and a direct-drive dexterous manipulator — arguing embodied AI should now be judged by whether robots can be manufactured, delivered, and integrated reliably, not by a single impressive demo. The Shanghai-based company, founded in 2023, says it has now produced its 15,000th robot.
What it means AGIBOT's own framing is the tell: after two years of viral demo videos, the industry's yardstick is shifting to whether a robot ships and holds up on a real factory floor — a bar most humanoid programs haven't been tested against yet.
