GitHub lets you assign a dependency alert straight to an AI agent to fix

GitHub now lets you assign a Dependabot dependency alert directly to an AI agent for remediation. The agent opens a draft fix pull request and even tries to resolve the test failures its own fix causes — while a human still reviews and merges it. It is a clean example of the emerging division of labor: the agent does the toil, the human owns the irreversible click.

What it means Dependency triage is fatigue-heavy toil an agent can genuinely take off your plate — as long as the merge stays a human decision.
