SpaceX closes its $60B all-stock purchase of Cursor, the largest venture-backed startup acquisition on record
SpaceX finalised its acquisition of Anysphere, the company behind the Cursor code editor, on 15 August 2026 — $60 billion in SpaceX stock, closing a deal first struck as an option in April and committed to in June. Cursor stays a product and gains access to SpaceX's GPU fleet, including the Colossus supercomputer that already serves Anthropic and Google as datacentre clients.
