FDA authorizes Wandercraft's Eve personal exoskeleton for commercial sale

New Atlas reported on 27 September 2026 that the US Food and Drug Administration has authorized commercial sale of Eve, a personal exoskeleton from French company Wandercraft. The device lets people with spinal-cord injuries stand and carry out everyday tasks without help.

What it means A personal-use robotic medical device has cleared US regulators, a precedent for other assistive robots seeking approval.
